Habilitation defended

I defended my habilitation at Université Savoie Mont Blanc. The subject is the modelling, analysis and integration of solar energy in territories.

The manuscript draws together ten years of work. The span runs from the air moving behind a ventilated façade to the choice of which roofs an agglomeration equips first. You will find the text openly available on HAL.

Urban radiation variability, decomposed

The work of Guillaume Le Gall is out in the International Journal of Thermal Sciences. The subject is higher-order orthogonal decomposition of shortwave radiation in urban settings.

Three-dimensional urban geometry makes incident solar radiation vary across many spatial and temporal scales at once. The paper shows a small number of modes replacing a full simulation of the field.
